The Neutral class is a new class added in the Whips & more mod. The Neutral class weapons have a lot of variety, with some being support weapons and some being main attack weapons. The class inflicts neutral damage.
The class is moderately developed for a playthrough, with 140 neutral weapons, 33 neutral accessories, 6 neutral armor sets, and 11 neutral buffs.
In terms of armor defense, Neutral armor has higher defense than magic armor but lower defense than ranged armor.
Neutral armor can be used as armor for mixed class loadouts, as the armor's stats benefit all classes.
Mechanics[ | ]
Neutral Damage[ | ]
The Neutral class weapons hit with a specific damage type called neutral damage. Accessories and armor can be used to augment neutral damage output, and generic 'damage' buffs still increase the neutral class damage.
Noob[ | ]
The Noob is a traveling NPC that has a 50% chance to appear each day. He sells some neutral weapons that you can only get from this NPC.
Neutral Bar[ | ]
The Neutral Bar is a mechanic of the Neutral class. Equipping a neutral armor set makes the bar visible and able to function.
It takes 30 seconds to charge up, and that time can be shortened with specific accessories.
Once the bar is full, you can activate the armor set's ability. The ability depends on what head armor piece you equip.
Helmets have a damage boosting ability that lasts for for 5 seconds. The duration can be lengthened with specific accessories.
Halos have a healing ability that can heal allies. The healing amount can be increased by your Neutral Healing stat.
Having the Mana Sickness debuff will make the Neutral Bar charge faster, to a maximum of 60% faster with 10 seconds of mana sickness. The bonus charge speed will decrease as the mana sickness duration decreases.
Neutral Healing[ | ]
Neutral Healing is a mechanic of the Neutral class. Its a stat that increases healing of the halo abilities and specific weapons.
Neutral Synergy[ | ]
Neutral weapons fully benefit from damage bonuses from other classes, but not critical strike chance, attack speed, armor penetration, or knockback bonuses.
This is stated in all neutral weapon's tooltips, with a line saying "This weapon scales with all your damage stats at once", just like the calamity classless weapons.
Since neutral weapons get affected by damage bonuses from other classes, that also means Mana Sickness will reduce neutral weapon damage as well.

Here are the weapons for the Neutral class.
Their best modifier is usually Incredible. Neutral weapons that don't use mana usually have the Amazing modifier as their best one.
There are some special cases such as a weapon having no knockback, in which case the Great modifier is the best. For weapons that don't benefit from speed such as minions and sentries, the Patient modifier is the best.
Neutral class players with a healer loadout benefit more from accelerated Neutral Bar regen rate from Mana Sickness as the damage penalty from Mana Sickness doesn't affect a healer that much. As healers want to charge up their Neutral Bar as fast as possible, the Happy modifier is the best.
