The Power Item is a consumable item dropped by all Bosses. On use, it grants stacks of the Powered Up buff, which grants a bonus to damage and critical strike chance, up to a maximum of 20 stacks, which is 20% increased damage and 10% increased critical chance. The buff lasts until it is cancelled or the player dies. 20 Power Items can be combined into a Full Power, which instantly applies the maximum amount of stacks to the player with a single use.
Additionally, Power Items are also used to upgrade items into stronger versions, as shown below.
