The Cap Upgrades are craftable armor set pieces that increase the effect of their respective armor set bonus. Super Mario gains a higher melee damage and speed than before, Super Luigi gains more health and defense, and Wario gains higher health, melee damage, and defense. The cap upgrades don't affect the extra movement abilities gained with each character, or any visuals.
