Hydrolyth Ore is an uncommon type of ore mined from Comet crash sites. Crash sites are not generated upon world creation, but instead generate throughout the game based on certain conditions. Mining Hydrolyth Ore requires an Instantanium Picksaw or better. Additionally, Comet Tails also have a 1/40 (2.5%) chance to drop a single piece of Hydrolyth Ore.

Crash sites can occur anywhere, accompanied by a message signifying the event. Hydrolyth Ore is required to craft Hydrolyth Bars.

Any area with at least 50 Hydrolyth Ore blocks in close proximity (e.g. a natural crash site) becomes a Comet biome, which will spawn Comet Tails.

Tips

• If a player places at least 50 pieces of Hydrolyth Ore, they can create an artificial Comet biome, where all enemy spawns are replaced by Comet Tails.
