The Masamune is a post-Moon Lord broadsword dropped by the Sisters of Discord, specifically Haruka, at a 25% chance. Unlike most other weapons, it has two modes of attack.
When the player left-clicks, the weapons will attack similarly to the Arkhalis, with the exception that it has a much longer range.
When the player right-clicks, the Masamune will swing like a regular broadsword. It will also fire slashes that can go through tiles and pierce multiple enemies. The slashes also inflict Moonraze. This makes this sword's right-click function much more effective when the player needs to attack from a distance.
With both of its functions combined, this makes the Masamune a very versatile weapon. After defeating all of the Ancients, it is used to craft Perfect Chaos.

- The Masamune is a reference to the Japanese swordsmith Masamune who was known to be the greatest swordsmith in Japan.
- It is also a reference to a sword with the same name wielded by Sephiroth who is the main villain of Final Fantasy VII.
