In addition to adding the Inferno and Mire biomes, Ancients Awakened adds functional Chaos Altars which work just like the Demon and Crimson altars from vanilla, it also makes them craftable crafting stations along with the modded versions.

All craftable altars perform the same function and more altars can be crafted with them.
